What Is Same Visit Dentistry?
Same Visit Dentistry at Vitrin Clinic is a treatment model built on a single principle: honesty about what can genuinely be completed during your stay in Istanbul.
We plan your care before you arrive, carry out treatments that are clinically appropriate to complete within your visit, and tell you clearly and in advance which procedures require more time and why.
This is not about rushing through procedures to give you a result on paper.
It is about using your time in Istanbul efficiently, without compromising clinical standards or making promises that cannot be kept. Some treatments composite fillings, root canal treatment, implant surgery, and in many cases zirconium crowns can be completed to a high clinical standard within a structured visit.
Others particularly those requiring laboratory fabrication, osseointegration, or staged healing cannot be completed in a single trip without cutting corners that would affect the long-term outcome.
At Vitrin Clinic, we tell you which is which before you book your flights.

Why Clinical Approach Matters
The most significant risk associated with dental tourism is not the quality of care available at reputable international clinics it is the mismatch between patient expectations and clinical reality when treatments are overpromised, compressed, or performed without adequate pre-treatment planning.
Peer-reviewed literature on dental tourism consistently identifies three factors as the primary determinants of a positive international dental patient outcome: pre-treatment communication and planning, the clinical competence of the treating clinic, and the adequacy of aftercare and follow-up support.
A systematic review on cross-border dental care published in PubMed identified that dental tourism is driven by cost, access to treatment, and confidence in international clinical quality and that patient outcomes are most positive when the treating clinic operates to internationally recognised clinical standards with transparent pre-treatment planning.
A 2025 systematic review of dental tourism reporting from the University of Sydney School of Dentistry identified that the most common source of negative patient outcomes in dental tourism was treatment completed faster than clinical timelines support directly confirming that honest treatment planning is a patient safety issue, not merely a commercial consideration.
